More Details on our little guy...
So, WE'RE HAVING A BOY!! (See picture below) We couldn't be more excited! We know that Ellie will LOVE having a little brother and we're so excited to get to watch them grow up together! We told her all about having a little brother, but she seemed more interested in the toys around her....she'll figure it out soon enough! ;-)
So...here's what happened! We told Dr. Nord that we wanted to find out, but we wanted him to put the sex down on paper and seal it in an envelope. So, we had most all of the sonogram done and he said, "Okay, turn your heads, we're going to look now!" So, he said he figured it out and sealed it up for us. Everything with the baby looks great, he weighed approximately 14 ounces, so that's incredible! :-) And since we have to schedule the c-section this time, he said that I could plan it anytime after April 17, since I'll be 38 weeks by then! So that's REALLY exciting! He said that at 34 weeks we will schedule the c-section, so we will know 4 weeks in advance of when we are having the baby. Isn't that incredible? Thank you modern medicine! :-)
So we left the doctors and went to Von Maur to go shopping with our sealed envelope! We picked out a little boy and a little girl outfit and it was SO MUCH FUN! We had a hard time deciding, but it was a lot of fun. So we went to the counter and handed the lady our credit card and "the envelope". We explained that we just went to the doctor and the gender of our baby was in the envelope. We wanted her to open the envelope, find out what we were having and then wrap up the appropriate outfit and we said we would be back in 10 minutes. She was so excited! She said "This is a HUGE responsibility!" So we came back 10 minutes later to a package wrapped in white paper with blue and pink ribbons! It was so hard not to open it right then! ;-) Then we went to Justin's favorite breakfast place (Bob Evans) to eat breakfast and open our present! And alas....there was a BLUE outfit! So, we're thrilled and so anxious to meet our little man! :-) We're half way through so he'll be here soon! YEA!!!
