Hello Caterpillar!

Okay folks, here's our princess today...

Ellie and Justin were having some good daddy/daughter time today, as you can see. :-) Justin was watching the manly show "Band of Brothers" (which FYI I cannot watch because I cannot stand all the blood) and he looked down at Ellie and she was looking up at him like he was the only man in the world (which, at this point in time, is pretty much true for her). So, off went Band of Brothers....and we captured some good moments between the two of them.

And now for the new and amazing thing that Ellie did today...

She has been putting her hands in her mouth since she was in the womb (honestly...we have pictures!) and has come recently to enjoy 'batting' at objects. Occasionally these objects make it to her mouth, but we've never been convinced that this was something she had planned....until today. As you can tell from the picture, Ellie very purposefully put her rattle in her mouth today! We had her in her swing tonight while we were eating dinner and her rattle was to her side. Next thing we knew....this little genius had picked up her rattle (by the small squiggly bar in the middle) and was rattling up a storm, eventually landing the caterpillar's head in her mouth. From there, she moved on to eating the blue section and finally the green section. Although the red and purple section did not feel the love from Ellie's mouth exploration, I'm sure they will soon enough.

Well that's all from the Young household today. The Greens come back in two days so we'll be back in the house of rowdy again. Kind of miss those little kiddos.... :-)
